For the Perkins diesel generator set to operate normally, three procedures are indispensable, that is: the intake, cooling and ventilation of the generator set. Perkins generator set is a diesel-fueled power generation equipment. The combustion of diesel cannot be separated from air, and the heat generated by the generator set must also be cooled. If these three procedures can be handled correctly, it will provide great help for the use of the generator set.
The air that feeds the engine must be clean and as cold as possible. Under normal circumstances, it is the air filter installed on the engine around the Perkins generator set to filter the use.
The engine, alternator and exhaust pipe all dissipate heat, and the temperature rise to a certain level will affect the efficiency of the Perkins generator set. Therefore, measures must be taken to keep the engine and alternator cool. The correct air flow route is air from the tail section through the engine radiator, and then out of the room by a removable exhaust pipe.
Both the air inlet and outlet should be large enough to allow air to flow in and out freely, roughly 1.5 times the area of the radiator core for the vents. Air inlets and outlets should have louvers for inclement weather protection. These panels can be fixed, but are removable when it's cold, so that when the machine is not running, the louvers can be closed, which keeps the room warm and helps the generator load .
