What problems should be paid attention to when installing diesel generator sets?

Before the diesel generator set is used, the installation and wiring of the unit should be carried out. When installing a diesel generator set, pay attention to the following:

1.The installation site needs to have good ventilation, the generator side should have enough air intake, and the diesel engine side should have good air outlet. The area of the air outlet should be more than 1.5 times larger than the area of the water tank.

2.The surroundings of the installation site must be kept clean to prevent placing items that can generate acidic, alkaline and other corrosive gases and steam around. Prevent fire. Fire extinguishers should be provided if possible.
3. When concrete is used as the foundation, the level must be measured with a level gauge during installation, so that the unit is fixed on the level foundation. There should be special anti-vibration pads or foundation bolts between the unit and the foundation
4.If it is used indoors, the smoke exhaust pipe must be led to the outside, and the diameter of the pipe must be greater than or equal to the diameter of the smoke outlet pipe of the muffler. Tilt the pipe downward by 5–10 degrees to prevent rainwater injection; if the exhaust pipe is installed vertically upwards, a rain cover device must be installed.
5. The casing of the unit must have reliable protective grounding. For generators that require direct grounding of the neutral point, the neutral point must be grounded by professionals and equipped with lightning protection devices. It is strictly forbidden to use the grounding device of the mains for neutral The point is grounded indirectly.

6. The two-way switch between the generator and the mains must be very reliable to prevent reverse power transmission. The wiring reliability of the two-way switch needs to be inspected and approved by the local power supply department.

7. The wiring of the starter battery must be strong.
